A Chicago-based commercial utility company currently has an opening for a HP Unix/SAN Administrator at its office in the Western suburbs. Company culture is second to none and offers excellent salary and industry-leading benefits. Specific responsibilities for the position include the following:



• Guarantee the availability and performance of Client’s Unix and SAN infrastructure supporting IT’s mission critical business applications

• Monitor systems to insure that automated and manual activities complete successfully

• Perform planned and unplanned changes in the production environment

• Provide support for after hours maintenance activities in the production environment



QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years experience with HP-UX operating environments

• 2+ years SAN architecture experience (EMC)

• Unix/SAN performance tuning experience, Unix scripting experience and BEA Weblogic and Tuxedo experience

• Ability to work after-hours

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Preferred experience using DMX, Symmetrix, CLARiiON, Powerpath, ECC, SRDF, Timefinder, SAN copy, SYMCLI, NaviCLI, MirrorView, SnapView, or Brocade

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and highly organized
