Currently, we are in the process of looking for a new Executive Assistant AmeriCorps*VISTA at the Youth Conservation Corps in Waukegan, IL which is an hour North of Chicago. AmeriCorps*VISTA Project Goals and Objectives





Goals of the Executive Assistant AmeriCorps*VISTA Member



1. To provide support necessary to assist the Executive Director of the Youth Conservation Corps, Inc. in completion of his/her designated functions.



2. To provide financial and bookkeeping support to the Executive Director, accounting and auditing firms.



3. To assist the Executive Director and staff in fundraising and programming activities.



Objectives



1. Act as administrative assistant to the Executive Director.



2. Develop an effective paper flow between Youth Conservation Corps staff members and the accounting firm.



3. Take responsibility for the on-site accounting records, check writing, petty cash flow, and the administration of grant draw down files and contracts.



4. Establish and maintain a system for tracking benefits of personnel and keeping payroll records.



5. Assist the Executive Director and Program Director in payroll computation and issuing of checks.



6. Create personnel handbook outlining policies and procedures, which will include frequently used forms, and distribute paper and electronic copies to personnel.



7. Assist the organization and the Board of Directors by creating a Board member packet, and update rosters to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the organization’s records.



8. Assist the Executive Director, Program Assistant AmeriCorps*VISTA and Community Outreach AmeriCorps*VISTA in various fundraising activities.
