I'm a female visual artist and small business owner (I sell my designs on t-shirts, cards, bags, prints etc. in stores and online on my website) I am looking for an intern to help as things are starting to grow! The job would mainly be filling orders, communicating with stores and galleries, getting ready for shows, minor book keeping, placing orders with vendors, etc. You would be able to learn a lot about all aspects of running and growing a small business, make contacts and earn college credit/work study. This position is paid via a workstudy grant, and so is offered only to current students and varies based on economic need. I wish I could afford to pay without relying on the grant- but thats the currnt situation. I also provide a fun work environment, a very yummy lunch and all the coffee you want! Ideally, I would like a female student or recent graduate who is interested in eventually starting her own business. If you attend a school that offers credit for internships, I will be happy to work with your advisor to set that up. I've been working with the Art Institute's Co-op program for 3+ years. If you're interested, please check out my website:
