PeopleSoft Functional Analyst-Cars.com-Chicago Cars.com Description/Duties Responsibilities: • Play the role of a PeopleSoft functional analyst in the Cars Technology group. • Working with other team members, participate in the analysis, design, and development of new or enhanced business processes utilizing PeopleSoft 8.9 capabilities. • Work with the development team to integrate PeopleSoft Service installation orders with external fulfillment systems. • Work with the development and operations teams to assess 9.0 upgrade approach • Consult with users to determine their current and future needs and plan approaches to meet those needs with PeopleSoft delivered technologies. • Analyze, design, and implement various data interfaces between PeopleSoft and external systems through the use of an enterprise service bus and workflow engine (knowledge of WebSphere Process Server desired). • End-user support and issue resolution as needed including after hours/month-end support as required. • Documentation of all analysis, designs, and implementations. Experience: • Typical background includes a BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field • Implementation of PeopleSoft in service oriented company Necessary Skills: • Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 8.x (GL, AP, AR, Billing, Fixed Assets, Contracts, Order Management, Transaction Bill Processor, Product Configurator) (1 yr) • Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft CRM (Order Capture, Services Management, Sales, Support) (3 yrs) • Knowledge of PeopleTools 8.4x technologies including XML Messaging, Component Interface, & Business Interlink. • Technical proficiency with PeopleTools 8.4x including Application Designer, Peoplecode, SQR, Application Engine, nVision, & Crystal Reports preferred but not required • Knowledge of WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Process Server (PeopleSoft Connector) nice to have • Experience working in an enterprise J2EE architecture, nice to have • Strong systems and data analysis skills required. • Solid understanding of the PeopleSoft 8.x Systems Architecture as deployed in a UNIX/Oracle environment required. • Experience implementing and supporting a PeopleSoft deployment within a services-based industry (internet, utility, advertising, etc.) a plus. • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
