Position Title: Executive Assistant to Senior Fellow on the Global Economy
Reports To: Senior Fellow on the Global Economy
Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant manages all facets of the Senior Fellow’s office including, but not limited to:
•Maintaining the Senior Fellow’s schedule and making travel arrangements.
•Managing the paper flow in and out of the Senior Fellow’s office (e.g. opening, sorting, and directing incoming mail, typing and drafting outgoing correspondence, producing daily itineraries and schedules, maintaining files and records, etc.).
•Screening and placing incoming and outgoing telephone calls and email.
•Drafting correspondence for the Senior Fellow.
•Communicating and interacting with constituents (e.g. returning calls, replying to emails, scheduling meetings and appointments, greeting visitors, etc.).
•Researching and acquiring information on people and organizations with whom the Senior Fellow is meeting; providing the Senior Fellow with relevant information and paperwork for upcoming meetings.
•Other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Superior computer skills, including extensive knowledge of and experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
•The ability to communicate with people at all levels using courtesy and discretion.
•Great initiative and a proactive spirit (e.g. the ability to anticipate the Senior Fellow’s needs).
•Team player and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
•5-10 years of experience as an assistant to a senior corporate or nonprofit executive.
