The Applications Programs Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of business application implementations through strong leadership, coordination and the utilization of the controls defined in the standard Information Services methodology. This position specifically supports the Offer to Order systems (OMDS, SCI and Sales Configurator). This position is responsible for managing development and support staff, through supervision, guidance and education.
Additional responsibilities include:
Manage the life-cycle of Applications projects through the use of standard documentation, effective communication with the project team, business sponsors and key users
Develop and maintain implementation workplans by identifying, resource requirements, budgeting and scheduling system and user tasks necessary to develop a system which meets the user requirement
Steer and monitor project status through facilitating project meetings and tracking of tasks against the implementation workplan
Supervise project leaders and Senior programmers/analysts during design, programming, system test and conversion phases
Work with users to gather and define requirements for process or application enhancements, including, coordinating dependencies and synergies between new development projects
Ensure the quality of processes, designs, test scripts and development by supervising, weekly team lead meetings, monitoring and proactively manage task lists and conducting review walkthroughs
Performs process analysis and recommends new processes and procedures that will more effectively accomplish the objectives being analyzed
Performs investigations and analysis on suggested business or application changes from the business, makes recommendations and manages a team to deliver the agreed solutions
Responsible for project status, project charters, task list issues and resolution, and input into strategic direction of systems and technical infrastructure
Responsible for the management of outside vendors to complete various hardware and software installations and maintenance projects
Minimum of Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field
Minimum of 8-12 years of client server and Web software development (full SDLC
Understanding of the architectural considerations involved in enterprise level front-office application landscapes required
Must have excellent project and staff coordination, requirements gathering and analytical skills with the ability to document results and gain consensus for approvals and wrap-ups
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Leader or Supervisor on development projects
4+ years of designing, coding and implementing .NET solutions to satisfy business needs
Coding experience must include ASP.Net, C#, OOP concepts and scripting (e.g. Javascript)
Strong experience in XML technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, WSDL, SOA, etc.)
Other technology experience should include: HTML, DHTML, CSS, DOM and Ajax
Experience in Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Related tools (e.g. Source Safe)
Strong SQL Server (2000, 2005) experience including relational database design, T-SQL, Stored Procs, Triggers, etc.
Desired exposure to ERP Integration and Interoperability considerations, Meta-Data driven systems and BizTalk
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem analysis skills
Able to communicate effectively both orally and written
Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
