Accounting/Administrative Assistant

Growing company in the N suburbs seeks an accounting/administrative assistant to provide support in the areas of reception and accounting. This would include:
- Reception
o Answering phone
o Responding/forwarding voice mails
o Greeting walk-ins
- Accounting Support
o Pulling invoices
o Fed-ex bills
o Entering invoices
o PO’s
o Review invoices for errors
o Call vendors regarding discrepancies
o Credit Applications
o Various excel spreadsheets
- General Admin
o Filing
o Clerical
o Supplies
- Mail
o Distribution
o Postage Meter
o Assistance
Requirements:
Admin/accounting experience preferred
Excellent phone and problem solving skills
Must be patient and have a positive attitude
Highly motivated, organized, detailed oriented and good at multi-tasking
Independent, dependable, self-starter must work well with others but also work well under minimal supervision
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
QuickBooks experience a bonus
General proficiency and comfort working on a computer with a variety of programs
Ability to learn and adapt quickly, step-in where needed, but not shy to ask questions
