Position: Sr. Java/J2EE Developer
Location: Downtown
Salary Range: Competitive
Company Description: Financial firm in downtown Chicago
Requirements: 6-8 years Software Development experience. 4-6 years Java Development experience - emphasis on JDBC, File I/O, Collections Framework, XML. 4-6 year SQL (Sybase preferred) experience. Familiarity writing stored procedures, data model design, and ETL processing. 2-4 years J2EE (WebLogic preferred) experience. Familiarity with EJB, JMS, concurrent processing, MDB, JNDI, JSP, Transaction management. 2-4 years Unix/Linux experience. Familiarity with shell scripting, cron, ftp.
Duties: The core responsibilities involve managing several data vendor feeds and interactivity with a business facing financial modeling team. Much of the business's IP is contained in how the financial data is mapped and used in models. This is a very iterative process and continually changing. Focus will be placed on data availability, quality and time to market.
