The American Medical Association is recruiting a Paralegal who will provide paralegal services to Corporate Law attorneys involving drafting contracts and other legal documents, performing legal and corporate research, assisting in litigation discovery, and maintaining records/files for corporate matters.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program.

Experience drafting contract provisions and must be detail oriented.

Have an understanding of litigation discovery practices.

Excellent organization and prioritization skills.

Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with attorneys and clients.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent legal research skills, both electronic and manual.

Self-directed motivated individual who needs minimal supervision and can accomplish multiple assignments with competing deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and accommodate time sensitive issues.

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

PC literacy required, specifically the use of MS Word, E-mail and the Internet.

Experience with website content writing and or posting a plus. Salary up to 52K based on experience.
