These guys are the wort. The don't care about you. You will be ignored for months at a time. Don't rent from them. Spread the word.
By the way - they use the name "Belden Properties" now. Probably trying to get away from their shitty reputation.

Stay away from this company at all cost weather you're renting or buying. Once they get their money, they're gone. They lie about anything and everything to cover their butts. These people, all of them, from Abrams (one of the owners) to his employees (some of which are family), are incompetent, unprofessional, and unethical. Their "word" is meaningless and their philosophy is "Do and say anything to get money in MY pocket. Screw the customer." Do your research first before dealing with this company or any of it's many entities (Jab Development, Jab Real Estate, Jab Realty). It will save you a lot of time and aggravation in the future. There are many honest developers in the city of Chicago that believe in customer satisfaction. PS: If I could give zero stars, I would have!!!
Terrible, incompetence sprung from this ****hole. DON"T rent from here no matter what. The no deposit thing is for a reason. They pass the buck around and the owner John Brown, is never there and his idiot monkeys supposedly never know how to contact him. There is no accountability for their actions. They don't respond to emails, voicemails, and they don't even go into the office anymore because they're avoiding their tenants.

Jab is an awesome place to rent from...they take good care of their tenants. You were probably just a complainer...which sucks no matter where you live
The employees of JAB realty are incompetent and rude. One employee in particular hits on potential tenants. Also, their practice of charging $50 for late rent payments violates the Chicago Residential Landlords and Tenants Ordinance S-12-140.
I agree with the two people who said how terrible they are. The lower-level employees are OK, but the guy who owns the company (the J.A.B. in JAB Realty) is hands-down the rudest person I've ever encountered. I wish I could go back and un-sign the lease. I will never again give them my business, and I will tell as many people as I can to stay away. There are plenty of other great companies to rent from in Chicago. Try AparmentSavvy.
The review is CORRECT. I have had problems in my apartment, have repeatedly asked to have them fixed, and have repeatedly been assured that someone will come take a look. HOWEVER, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. I spoke with a Chicago organization which represents and supports renters confirmed JAB's BAD repution. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
Hahaha that first comment that says JAB is ok must be on crack or works for JAB themselves. These people are assholes. They could care less who and what lives in their apartments. I tried to get them to send my new complex a renter's confirmation just saying that I lived here. HE refused to do it. He continued to scream at me until I left the leasing office in tears. I cannot wait to leave this hellhole. Nothing works and as soon as you move in, the place is in shambles. It hasn't been cleaned in ages. I was disgusted. Whoever this guy is (I've heard his name is John Brown), he needs to get his attitude in check for his customers. He has been showing my apartment practically everyday. From now on I am either going to tell the people in person not to live here or I am going to leave a sign on the door saying you do not want to live here. John Brown can go fuck himself.
